Collaborating with the contemporary art magazine ART.ZIP, which is a seasonal English-Mandarin bilingual magazine published throughout the Asian and UK markets, we delivered the special theatre issue featuring more than 30 British theatre companies, venues, educational organisations, academics and professionals. Educated and informed Chinese readers about theatre “new writing” through rich content and well-planned structure.

ART.ZIP ISSUE12 – “Visual Theatre”

  • Over 100 pages featuring reviews and informative insights into 40 British Theatre-related companies and professionals.
  • Cross-field cooperation once again with the highly popular visual arts magazine. 
  • With a circulation of over 50,000, published throughout the Asia-Pacific, we aim to bring an insight into British Theatre culture to Asian audiences.

Inspired by the success of our collaboration the previous year, we continued our co-operation with art magazine ART.ZIP, contributing to yet another edition. As our company has grown and become more deeply rooted in London, we were delighted to share our network of British Theatre professionals, and set the issue theme as “Visual Theatre”.

 

Over 100 pages covered more than 40 British theatre companies and professionals, and we were extremely grateful to be able to incorporate interviews with Mark Baldwin of the Rambert Dance Company, Penny Francis of the Puppet Centre, Slavka Jovanovic of The Little Angel Theatre, Leo Warner of 59 Productions, Joseph Seelig of London International Mime Festival. This special edition also features articles for The Roundhouse, NoFit State, Blind Summit, Complicite, DV8, Kneehigh, Shunt, Punchdrunk, Le Patin Libre, Fuel and Theatre O.

  • Over 30 articles dedicated to the subject of ‘Theatre for Young People’ including reviews, special features and interviews with a diverse range of British Theatre company’s and professionals.
  • Cross-field cooperation with the highly popular visual arts magazine, ARTZIP.
  • Exposure to our British and Asian pacific patrons through the magazine’s 50,000 plus circulation. Offering an ever greater understanding and insight into British Theatre Culture.

In association with ART.ZIP the first U.K based bilingual contemporary arts magazine, Performance Infinity collaborated on a special feature edition dedicated to ‘Theatre for Young People’. Consisting of over 30 articles the edition highlighted the work being done to inspire, educate and develop theatre for young people in Britain. The edition included interviews with Ben Power, Deputy Artistic Director at the National Theatre, Nicholai La Barrie the Director of Young People and Emerging Talent at the Lyric Hammersmith, Natasha Gilmore the Director of Tiger and Tiger Tale and Peter Higgins the Director of Punchdrunk’s Enrichment programme. The feature also highlighted the work being produced by; the Unicorn Theatre, the Chickenshed Theatre, the Bath Egg, the Young Everyman Playhouse and the Polka Theatre as well as many more. We were exceptionally grateful to all those that helped to make this such a successful edition.
